Engineering approach
Wearable sports and performance hardware has to balance sensor accuracy against battery life and a form factor small enough to actually wear. On this board, that translates into a component set built around 2L and MCU, with layout and stack-up decisions driven by compact form factor, battery life, and accurate real-time sensor sampling.
