Project overview

Mains-powered controller for switching fans, heaters and cooling loads with an ESP32-based control interface.

Engineering approach

Power electronics work lives or dies on thermal design and conversion efficiency, with layout decisions directly affecting how much heat a board has to shed. On this board, that translates into a component set built around 4L and ESP32, with layout and stack-up decisions driven by power conversion efficiency, thermal management, and accurate current and voltage sensing.
